Hair transplantation in women

While it is true that most of the time it is men who are most affected by hair loss, some women can also be victims, especially by so-called androgenic alopecia.

The reasons for hair loss in women.

There are several reasons that can cause hair loss in women:

- Hormonal upheavals: adolescence, postpartum period or menopause. The nature of the hair may change at this time: it can become thinner and darker. When the thinning is too important the hair loses its volume, it can become annoying.

- Certain health concerns: thyroid problems which is the most common but also certain diseases of the nervous system, anemia.

- Hair maintenance: Extensions, too tight hairstyles, too aggressive styling products, repeated or too violent brushing.

- Problems related to a healthy lifestyle: smoking, too strict weight loss diets which lead to deficiencies and increased fatigue.

- Psychological problems, stress or an uncontrollable need to pull your hair out. - Taking certain treatments.

- Heredity.

How to fight against female baldness?

Hair implants in women work wonderfully, however few people receive a favorable diagnosis. Very often PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) sessions are recommended. It is also possible to use the Galvanic current to stimulate blood circulation and reactivate the collagen located in the bulb of the hair.

Hair transplantation in women in practice.

In most cases, hair transplantation in women is more complicated and alopecia is not approached in the same way as in men. This can be a solution, if the baldness is located at the frontal level or if it is a very severe baldness. Women with too much hair are not good candidates for transplantation, simply because the micro-incisions could damage the natural hair. There would therefore be no benefit obtained. For best results, shaving is recommended. Few women take the plunge.
